I was recognized as a key hire during the 2016 presidential campaign. A politician is a brand in its purest form and surrogates are the army of trusted public figures (well-known politicians, industry experts, CEOs, high ranking military officials, dignitaries, celebrities and influencers) who represent the candidate across the U.S. during the election. I served as the main point of contact and campaign spokesperson for over a hundred influencers and surrogates on behalf of Jeb Bush during the 2016 election cycle. In partnership with our communications team I pitched campaign surrogates for events and media and built individual communications plans appropriate for each surrogate and audience. I effectively optimized campaign messaging for different audiences based on goals and objectives, executed post event analysis and reported results to the rest of senior leadership. Following the campaign, I worked as a fundraiser developing national plans and building connections with Fortune 500 CEOs and high net worth investors across the U.S. in order to promote U.S. Senate candidates and maximize fundraising efforts.
