As I transitioned away from politics, I worked in events and marketing in the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan. At J.P. Morgan, events and marketing work hand in hand. I collaborated with marketing executives, bankers, investors and senior management to develop an event strategy and design exclusive opportunities for top-tier clients as a way to drive business. During my time at J.P. Morgan our region became one of the fastest growing. For two consecutive years I managed a week’s worth of 10+ events including the on-site experience and content development for top art collectors during Miami Art Basel, the annual premier contemporary art fair in the U.S. I led internal and external communications between 50+ bankers, event planners and clients for the largest annual global investment conference. Measuring ROI for banks is exceptionally challenging. My team reestablished how ROI on marketing investment was measured for regional events. We updated the guidelines and established best practices for bankers around the execution of those events and that resulted in a more efficient use of resources and targeted efforts.
